The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

I find it interesting they’re STILL POSTING out there:

LOFL that place is like death slightly warmed over!
Why oh why would these two solid posters continue to post at such a bone-marrow-sucking site?
A SITE DOMINATED BY LEAF-LOVING MORONS NO LESS!!
(say anything negative about the Leaves you get punted pretty quickly).
Some of we Canuckers... like THINKER, Potatoe, yours truly, etc... tried to breathe life back into that place once upon a time. We were met with open hostility. Any sign of personality wotsoever is met with threats of banning. Said site reads like a cheap zombie horror novel now.

Having said that I’m pretty sure my old pals Rikster and Die-Hard are HERE at the Corner.
Well guys?
WHY do you post at that God-forsaken site and merely lurk here in paradise??
EDIT: okay I see Rikster registered here WAY back and posted thrice last month after a 29 month hiatus
Jesus that board is dead. It used to be a decent place to visit. I don't think the same guy who used to run that board still does. I think I got more than a couple warnings over there.

I hate when locals try to talk net' thug for fun.

A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

There's a great free program I use that saves and restores complete Firefox profiles. Also good to backup once and a while anyways.

Checked the weather this morning

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

So I guess there's no point in plowing snow.

Anyone have experience in having intl students as home-stays? We live super close to a university in Colwood and have applied with our only exp being visiting other families with students. We were told to avoid E. European and students from the middle east.....
Any exp at your house?

My sister had a couple of Korean students for a while. My sister inlaw has a Japanese girl at her place (I think its the second one she's had there). I haven't heard of any problems.
They try to entertain them a bit with sightseeing and the odd excursion, but they also have their work/family schedules and the exchange students have their schedules. Meals and a bedroom and your set. In both cases it helped that my sister and my sister inlaw have teen age kids that help out with socializing.
