MLB: Swing battah battah swing!!!

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Why do the managers wear the uniform!? They look ridiculous - what, they are going to bust out and play? :scowl:

Game 7.

Nolan Ryan looks like someone just took a dump in his wife's lap.

Great game but 5 errors in a world series game? Holliday drop ball in LF was unreal. I would of given my little league team crap for doing that but this is happening in this World Series, unbelievable

There should be a timer on how long the pitcher can stand there not throwing the ball. And maybe a limit on how many times the manager can trot out there for a conference. Purists would say I'm an idiot but the playoff games are simply too long, especially in a sport with such little action.

I noticed it last night when I was trying to watch. Tony Larussa looked absolutely retarded in his 'gear'.

I'm a purist and I agree with you. I would also start extra innings with the last man out from the prior inning at first or second base. Just to get it going, but only in regular season not playoffs. Regular season extra inning games are bullshit.

There's rules for both.

The first is rarely enforced unless the other team complains. It should be 12 seconds between pitches, of course that's only if there's no runners on base.

A coach or manager can only make a trip to the mound once per inning, the second time he must pull him. though I'm positive that when I played ball it was a max of 2 per inning and 3 in a game per pitcher before you had to yank him.

The game slows to almost a halt when the teams start using the bullpens, pitchers changers are a slow agonizing process. Especially when a guy comes in to intentionally walk a player and is then yanked
