NFL Thread: Thoughts on the game south of the 49th

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Without a doubt, this is my favourite Tony Romo memory. Couldn't even get the 1st down when he scrambled. Sorry Donny.

I wish the Seahawks had an O Line.

Time will tell and JJ could go off the reservation at any time (i.e. he almost drafted Manziel this year for Crissakes!!).
Jerry is a terrifying mofo if you're a Cowboys fan...he still laments not drafting Manzeil any chance he gets. Manziel!

Agreed, about the o-line. The running game has taken a ton of pressure of Romo. Murray has like 160y/g (rushing and receiving) through 5 games.

Romo's hold gaffe is getting more airplay
As Romo, the picture of dejection, sat on the field, burying his helmeted head in his hands, the Seahawks and their fans rejoiced at the near-miraculous turn of events. Romo practically grew goat horns before our eyes.

Don. are you going to the Clink on Sunday?

Wonder if Romo will have a Romo moment in the 4th quarter..

Seahawks first half have been bland, injuries didn't help, but I think they'll come around in the 4th.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Seahawks just traded Percy Harvin to the Jets.

For a conditional draft pick.

Per Jay Glazer.

Wow!

Holy fuck! Wonder what the reason's for that were?

Guess it's all money related as mr Seahawks franchise QB needs a slight raise next year.

What a weird trade, well at least the timing is weird. Harvin is severely overpaid and overrated though.

ESPN's Seattle beat reporter Terry Blount saying 'hawks grew tired of his injury act and anger management issues.

I had grown tired of the way he was being used in the offence. I thought he was supposed to be a speed deep threat not a screen pass to the sideline 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage guy.

The west coast offence that Bevell was running, works to open up posts and slants for the slot and tight end receivers. The runt QB has been unable to see over the pass rush and can't complete a a mid length pass over the middle.

This move opens up $$$$$$$$$$$$ for the runt QB.

Sound like he'll be a perfect Jet.

lol @ the Jets.

What a gong show.

510 is a lot of fukin TD passes.

Never been a big Manning fan but credit where it is due.

Always nice to watch the Niners get their asses handed to them as well.

Ha!

You could only avoid the taint of Ryan for one season.

An O line and Jimmy Graham would help.

Not to mention Darren Sproles.

This has nothing to do with not having Jimmy Graham.

This season has been all kind of turrrible. Defence was fine last year, but has fallen apart in all kinds of ways this season. Funny thing is the Saints should be leading the division at 4-2 at least, but of course they have blown three games now in the dying minutes after leading pretty much the whole game. Three! They've only played six!

Things I do not get:
- Sproles/Brees is one of those magical combos in the league, so what do we do? Get rid of Sproles!
- The Brandin Cooks pick I still don't get. Offence has never been an issue. Use those high picks for easy fixes like bringing in a CB or offensive lineman. Cooks was supposed to replace Sproles.
- We have two pretty good safeties already in Bush and Vaccaro, and have massive questions at CB so we go out and blow a huge amount in free agency on Byrd (a safety). Cool!

Sweet that Pierre Thomas is now injured.

The reason I mention Graham is because of the fluidity between he and Brees.

It looks to me like Drew ain't comfortable back there behind that line and Graham is an outlet for him when under duress, as was Sproles.

And yes the personnel decisions are D are odd to say the least.

Regardless Atlanta is apparently on a mission to get Smith fired and Carolina looked just awful yesterday so all is not lost in N'Orleans for this season.
