The U.S. government says candy imported from Pakistan called Toxic Waste Nuclear Sludge is not safe to eat. Who would have guessed?
The Food and Drug Administration announced that the U.S. distributor of Nuclear Sludge chew bars is recalling the candy because of lead contamination. No one has been sickened, but the FDA said elevated lead content could be harmful to small children, infants and pregnant women.
But the lead is a necessary ingredient that helps protect against the radiation of the nuclear sludge...!

A US man has been rejected in his bid to become a police officer for scoring too high on an intelligence test.
Robert Jordan, a 49-year-old college graduate, took an exam to join the New London police, in Connecticut, and scored 33 points, the equivalent of an IQ of 125.
But New London police interviewed only candidates who scored 20 to 27, on the theory that those who scored too high could get bored with police work and leave soon after undergoing costly training.
Mr Jordan launched a federal lawsuit against the city, but lost.

Actor Rowan Atkinson was hurt when he crashed his McLaren F1 supercar into a tree in Cambridgeshire.
The Blackadder and Mr Bean star suffered a shoulder injury in the accident, near Peterborough.
He is said to have walked from the car, which caught fire, after the crash on the A605 at Haddon on Thursday evening and waited for an ambulance.
Atkinson, 56, was admitted to Peterborough City Hospital and discharged on Friday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews brought the fire under control by 8.13pm. They made the vehicle safe and used one hose reel to put out the fire.
When police heard reports of a baby trapped in a car, they rushed to rescue it.
And on realising that the only way to get into the car would be to break a window, they quickly did their duty.
But moments later, they were embarrassed to realise that the baby they had gone to such lengths to save was a doll.
Mother-of-three Victoria Cristofis bought the 'Reborn' doll for her daughter Chanel's birthday in June. But within a month the doll - which looks and even smells almost exactly like a real baby - has caused all manner of confusion in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
Ms Cristofis says people have accosted her when shopping and accused her of mistreating a real baby, and petted it as if it was real - even before the police became involved.
Sometimes Chanel carries the doll around in a little Moses basket and swings the basket around like kids do. We will be walking down the street and people will look on in horror.
