Summer Movies...what are you gonna see?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Was it because you suddenly realized how much you were digging the love scene?
Well then Rats will enjoy the Avatar Prequel in 3 1/2 D

He just has to keep telling himself it's not kiddie porn and use something stronger...like a red or blue pill (Creeps might think it's midget porn though without drugs :? )

My Lord of the Rings Blue Ray Extended set shipped today. That should keep me out of the theatres this summer.

I think I'm going to pick that up. It's been years since I watched those movies! Do you have a home theater Cornuck?

I waited a while for this set. I bought the original ones, then the Extended DVD (lost them in the move) and now this one. It should look good. I have 60 inch Mitsubishi DLP - great stuff, and an average Panasonic Blu-ray/surround sound system. Not loud enough for a big room, but ok.

Edit: Looks like the local theatre is having a double feature of X-men and Green Lantern for $10 - it will be worth it just for the AC.

Saw Transformers last night, in 3D. I loved it!! Best of the lot! The 3D wasn't overused, it was effective in the parts they used it.

Harry Potter is next, but I'd probably pay to see Transformers again.

Yeah filmed most of it Vancouver I believe.

Apparently a lot of glass gets broken in the film ;)

Would really like to see Transformers in 3D, just need to get the grandparents to babysit and see if the Mrs would be up for it.

Hey Aaron, nice to see ya... :)

If they're going to make a 4th MI film you'd think they’d at least reboot the franchise and get a new actors! Cruise is 50 years old... and he's a scientology moron! It’ll make money but it won’t be any good.

I’m so tired of parts 3, 4, 5 and 6 of anything.

Avatar made 87 billion because it was original. Obviously the theme of the film was old rehashed Dances with Wolves rubbish but the characters and “world” they live in were new. The public needs original movies. The next Matrix! Something to capture our attention! Sometimes reboots can work. Christopher Nolan’s Batman works and J.J. Abrams did a good job of the new Star Trek but they’re still old stories being retold.... better.

I want something NEW damn it!

BTW: I might get flamed for this but I rented the Adjustment Bureau the other day because there was nothing else to get. Thought it would be pure shit and was pleasantly surprised. Ohdee’s thumbs up on the AB! It’s worth a rent if you haven’t seen it yet!

I liked the Adjustment Bureau.

It's like a documentary on Reptoids without the shapeshifting. :drink:

There’s a lose connection between the God and the chairman. They never really say... “Are you Angels”, “we’ve been called that”.

enjoyed it!
