Next outdoor game in the plans

Post by Cornuck »

The final event at Yankee stadium could be a HOCKEY game?

LINK

Once again the NHL could get some much needed recognition, if this goes through. Rangers would have to play another big market US team to make it successful, though.....Detroit?

Count me as someone against a hockey game being the last event played in the house that Ruth built.

I agree with this 100%

What greater way to say "F-You" to all hardcore baseball fans.

The last game at Yankee Stadium, should be a baseball game. Plain and simple.

I'll be at the one at Wrigley Field in Chicago (Since I live in Chicago). I'm actually more excited about the Canucks visiting the United Center twice this upcoming season more than anything. It would be nice to see an outdoor game in Montreal, with the Habs vs. the leaves...you know, a good Canadian rivalry.

Although it's exciting and a good 'gimmick' for the NHL to raise interest in the US markets, the Heritage Classic in Edmonton would be hard press to beat. The modern era stars of yesteryear stole the day from the current players of both those respective franchises.

I got no problem with a hockey game at Yankee stadium.

Hey Lotus blossom how's the feeling for the up coming hockey season in Chi town? Now that the Old Boy is dead and his Son seems to be making the team more acsseable to the area, coupled with the awsome young talent.

I bought season tickets to the Hawks. I'm very excited. Would be very nice to see the Hawks do well. Their season ticket base has risen 300%. Nice huh?

I'm looking forward to it, although I am very excited about October 19th. Our Canucks visit the Windy City for the first time this season.
