Saw this link on Sportsnet. I wish there was a bit more of this in the new NHL, thats one thing noticablly different lately is the lack of respect on the ice.

I wish we had someone who could stick up for Naslund and Luongo. IMO they are badly disrespected on a regular basis. Example Sundin on Naslund and Bataglia hacking Luongo in the head with his stick before he scored.

Proof positive why fighting should stay in the game and the instigator rule removed. Hockey, for many reasons, is one where players need to police themselves and it worked very well for a long time until the instigator rule came in. Some idiots think the American audiences won't take to hockey because of the fighting (ie-Dryden. Hall of Famer but as pinko a Liberal as you get), but I would say more Americans would get into it if there was fighting in the game. It's all about accountability and there's no amount of rules and penalty calls can replicate it.

Oh man I miss Gino... I too wish we had someone who can throw down with authority. Lets hope Cowan's a tough bastard and can do a bit of that.
