Someone want to recommend me some music for this wee hour?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Zero 7 I think is great, good call Broda

Also if you're into it, I suggest pretty much anything by Ben Harper, all his music is great, but for now, if you haven't heard it before try
Alone
The woman in you
Show me a little shame
Oppression
Please me like you want to
Morning Yearning

those are some of my favorites as far as his chilled out stuff goes

other bands:
Air
the new Thom Yorke (of Radiohead fame) solo album, called "Eraser" I think is a great album to put on and chill out to...
The Fight Club soundtrack by The Dust Brothers

there's a few ideas, hope you like at least one of 'em!

Check out SomaFM for high-quality Internet radio. They've got a few different channels, so you can pick the one to suit your mood. My favourite is GrooveSalad.

along those lines, I highly recomend pandora.com
You start with a band/song you like, they pick songs of similar style based on a deep list of genres and styles, then you tell them as you go if you like the current song or not. if not, they remove similar styled songs, if you like it they play more of it. After listening for an hour or two you've got a very customized, personal playlist that allows you to hear new music all the time, based on stuff you like. I'm a big fan.

Looks like I'll be checking that out. I usually open itunes and pick a radio station, but this could be fun.

[edit] I'm really liking this so far - thanks for the recommondation. Since I work at home on my computer all day, this will really help.

Wow! thanks for the Pandora and SomaFM links they are freakin awesome

Has anyone tried out the Slim Devices/Squeezebox advertised on Pandora?

Looks like a cool unit for transferring music around the house

Some good lovin music please try John Legend...a tich of Barry White with a dash of gospel & a lovin spoonful of Marvin Gaye. Pour the red wine, dim the lights & give her the old ' how's she do'in' If you dig Harper than you will get this music.
As for you guys that like to put on the Pink Floyd late at night...have fun kissing your best friend STEVE goodnight cuz the ladies are sleeping through that. I love Pink but not when I need to cook with gasoline.

Haha, made me laugh, and a good point. I love Floyd, but it's not always the best baby-makin music. nothing like a relaxing set of 30 chimes and clockbells going off aty the start of "Time" to set the mood... although I'm not sure that was the aim of this post anyways...

Partty - so many double posts lately, what gives? cpu issues? DP stand for DoublePost? ;)
