World Cup 2014 (really)

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

How can my good buddy Doc from Abbotsford, who used to live across the street from the Clark Park baseball diamond be a massive Man U fan and not a fan of the World Cup. It just doesn't add up
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

The England soccer team visited an orphanage in Brazil yesterday.
It was heartbreaking to see sad faces with no hope, said Jose, age 6.
I love every move Jim Benning makes 8-)

Belize isn't even in it...you better cheer for the Krauts!
All the real Germans moved to Argentina 70 years ago.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

England physio Gary Lewin INJURED with dislocated ankle after standing on water bottle while celebrating first World Cup goal

By Kieran Gill and Oliver Todd
Published: 22:49 GMT, 14 June 2014 | Updated: 10:04 GMT, 15 June 2014
'That was a very sad moment for us,' England boss Roy Hodgson said. 'In celebrating the goal he jumped up, landed on a water bottle and dislocated his ankle.

'It was very painful. He was taken to hospital. The doctor set it, put it back in at the side of the field, but it's the end of the World Cup for Gary.'
