Re: Welcome to the Refugees from "Central"
Yet another refugee here. Very grateful to find this site where decent hockey discussions are the norm not the exception. Thanks for taking us in Brian!
Maybe those of us who sign up this month can get a custom title "CC Refugee" to commerate the occassion or something

I agree with Ex Pat call it some place in Alberta, maybe the Pinolka Escapees. For those that may not know there is a special place for mental cases in Pinolka.

Hi, intent here. I've been on Canucks Central since about 2004, I think, or maybe earlier. I'm a huge lurker but I'm around. I forget if my handle there was intent or kaiblu, but here I am.
I've been a Canucks fan all the way, even after going to undergrad in New Brunswick, then first year of law school in Minneapolis, and finally finishing law school in Portland, Maine. Following them during this past Stanley Cup run has certainly interfered with my final exam studies and my bar exam study!

I think you mean Ponoka - and yes, they have a mental institution there. I actually did some consulting (on the buildings - not on the inmates ) to an Architectural firm that worked on a big addition to the place a number of years ago. Anyway, Ponoka would be an excellent name to replace the Bountiful thread.
BTW - good to see you made it over Listercat.

Apparently threatening Chris and his wife doesn't work, so I'm all out of ideas.dhabums wrote:Does anyone know how I can get my $50 back from CC?

And yet another CanucksCentral refugee drifts in.... Thanks, Brian and the rest of the Corner vets for having me. I lurked at Central for years before I started posting, so it was a bit shocking to see all those old friendships and bantering sessions completely vanish. Great to see most of those people back here (and I hope others like UW, Per, Spock, Pot and, of course, Eddy and Don show up as well). This site has a great atmosphere so far: I'm looking forward to next season.

Re: Welcome to the Refugees from "Central"
All right Listercat and Expat.......how about someone comes up with something new as a thread title where we can post little nuggest about our dear friends in Alberia ?? A person could call it "From Bountiful to Ponoka" , or something like that. Maybe someone else should pick this one up as I started the first thread was 200 pages and over 100,000 hits. Chris picked up the 2nd one......so perhaps someone can fire up another thread ?

What ever the name of the new thread, it must imply inbreeding.
