Puck drops tomorrow. Can't wait.
Sweden has a pretty lackluster team, but there are still a few slots open. Only 21 players have been registered yet, so four more can be added later on.
Goalies:
Anders Nilsson, NY Islanders
Joacim Eriksson, Vancouver
Defence:
Mattias Ekholm, Nashville
Erik Gustafsson, Philadelphia
Johan Fransson, Luleå
Tim Erixon, Columbus
Jonas Ahnelöv, Frölunda
Daniel Rahimi, Linköping
Magnus Nygren, Färjestad
Forwards:
Oscar Möller, Skellefteå
Mikael Backlund, Calgary
Joakim Lindsströn, Skellefteå
Jimmie Ericsson, Skellefteå
Calle Järnkrok, Nashville
Gustav Nyquist, Detroit
Dick Axelsson, Frölunda
Mattias Sjögren, Linköping
Simon Hjalmarsson, Linköping
Linus Klasen, Luleå
Joel Lundqvist, Frölunda (C)
Nicklas Danielsson, Rapperswil

Re: World Championship 2014
France takes the lead against Canada!
Score tied at 1-1 by the end of the first though. Hodgson and Garrison assisting Schenn on Canada's goal.
I think it'd be fair to expect more of Canada, but then again, France has Cristobal Huet in goal, which I guess helps bring them closer to the real hockey nations.
Huet is currently playing in the Swiss league. They also have three players in the Finnish league, one (Bellemare) in the SHL (Skellefteå), one (DaCosta) in the AHL (Binghampton) and one (Roussel) in the NHL (Dallas).
I assume once the Canadians get over their jet lag they should wrap this up though.
France should not be a contender in this tournament.

Re: World Championship 2014
Latvia toppled Finland.
Garrison best in points on the Canadian team so far. One assist against France and now another on the equaliser against Slovakia. 1-1 after two periods. Time to wake up soon?
