You can see the raw skill out there though. Nothing in close to the net yet but he's looking to do stuff the coaches would never let Dale Weise try (because he couldn't even dream of pulling it off in the NHL).

He's got to pick his spots better, both in terms of physical play and trying to pull off individual maneuvers, but you can see the capability is there.

I don't know if it all clicks into place this year though.

The Sedins need to manufacture something here. Their game has been somewhere between "meh" and poor.

The team is really fighting the puck. They are lacking urgency. Chip it out as far as the red line, retreat and try to break out again. That's pretty much been the first and third periods. If we only play one period per game we'll be done real quick.

Canucks are playing to keep it close, or something. Hard to explain the lack of urgency. Game's probably over. Looking like the LA series where the effort is ok, but the Sedins aren't playing off of instinct, and everybody else is thinking too much. Too worried about losing, maybe. Not playing to take the game by the balls and make it their bitch. That, to me, is bad coaching and broken leadership.

Canucks played boring hockey with no good outlet passes nor the D coming in. Like HW said they were fighting the puck so hopefully AV can do something about that before the next game.

Well that was a real let down.

Hopefully the Canucks will show up for the next game.

I don't believe the Sharks are that good nor do I think the Canucks are that bad.

AV has to put Garrison on the first power play, everyone in the world can see this except AV!

I'd like to know who got conned into buying the $500 seats for this game. Yikes.

Too much perimeter play. You'd think they'd realize how they (or Torres) scored their only goal.

Dumb penalties. Lazy one on Hamhuis and stupid agression from Kassian and Weise.

Poor own-zone play. Forwards too high. D being cute. Just gross in our own zone. San Jose was on the puck far more often and effectively.

Piss poor passing. Seems like we couldn't string 3 passes together.

Sedin no-show. We'll only go as far as our best players take us. If our first line isn't going, we're done.

I hope they can bring it on Friday. But I'm seeing a continued trend here from playoffs past and it's spelled
G-O-A-L-S.

This is about the time when Arachnid starts slaying the boards with his patented 'Tony Robbins style Positive Re-inforcments'.
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
