Jovocop wrote:Edler better wakes up soon or else he could have a long golf season ahead of him. On the tying goal, he was standing there watching Henrik tying up the guy's stick. With two minutes left in the third period, Edler dangerously shot the puck out of the zone which was only an inch away from over the glass... Whew...
Hey he's doing hsi best trying to reduce his Cap hit for his next contract
So much for the Canucks' vaunted playoff experience. What a load of self-delusional crap that pre-playoff talking point was. The Kings look way more comfortable. The Canucks look like they're hoping it'll work out. Best thing, however it turns out, is Gillis has to be sitting there thinking that his long term number 1 goaler is right in front of him, 35. CS is player of the game thus far.
I'll call Kesler with the OT winner...

We can do this no question but the Kings look like they really want it. Time for some heroics.
And have for a majority of this series. The Canucks have had very little sustained pressure. The Kings have played the Canucks game better, activating their D and winning the board battles.
One goal. Is it time to put Burrows back with the Sedins? Maybe it's Kesler time?

Keslers line, Pahlsson line and the Malhotra lines are playing shut down hockey...so why not put Burrows back with the twins ?
To be fair, the Pahlsson line with Higgins and Hansen have been pretty decent in the offensive zone. If Tanev was replaced by Salo on that shot, the game could be over.
BTW, did Stoll jump when he hit Burrows? I assume someone has to be killed or someone flips the puck over the glass before the refs start calling penalties again.
Agreed, Higgins needs more ice time. Edler is really having a tough time, god i hope he snaps out of it. Incidentally he looks really slow out there, perhaps he's got some type of injury.
Booth with the game winner...pick the most least likely guy right.
Now we'll see what kind of GM Gillis is. His deadline acquisitions did nothing - two sitting and one hardly fit his "shut down" role. I don't care about Coho, he was going to be an issue going forward it appears but could we have got a playoff ready performer in return?
All hindsight now but man, I am hating this. AV can go to the Habs. Shutdown freakin' hockey my ass.
Tough way to end the season. Before anyone starts it wasn't a penalty on Hamhuis. He got checked and tried to recover but no support. But wtf is he doing in Ot doing that anyway?
Tough tough way to end. It doesn't hurt as much as last year and I think thats because going down 3-0 I had time to adjust to it.
We lost this series in the first two games. Not Luongo, the team.
Will be interesting to hear AV and MG spin all of this.
WTF, did Hamhuis get a can-opener? Anyhow, Edler singlehandedly lost the series. BTW, the Kings should send Keith a thank you card, FFS! Good job NHL...
