Simple really, get at least 1 point and take top spot in the West. By puck drop we should know if the PT is up for grabs as well.
Line shuffle tonight:
Raymond out as he is waiting to become a dad for the first time. He is with the wife who was considerate enough to go into labour before the playoffs. So counting back nine months, I thought MayRay had a broken back? Part of his rehab maybe?
Lines for the game:
Ebbett/Hank/Burrows
Lappy/Kesler/Booth
Higgins/Shut Down Guy/Hansen
Weise/Bitz/Manny
Av wants to try Bitz at centre for a bitz to see how that line looks.
Lou in net
Tanev back in. Not sure who of Rome or MAG are in.

This looks like an pre-season line up.
Lappy is is coming into his own right now. I dare say, he's more effective than Booth right now.

Lappy has been very effective with Hank and Burrows. I think the idea is to try and find a spark for Kesler and Booth. Lappy will go to the net and scrum it up. He plays some of his best hockey in the playoffs so perhaps this will be an interesting experiment.

Caps up 4 nil...barring a major collapse this and the way things went down this past week couldn't be more perfect for our goaltending situation heading into Wednesday. With Lu's last outing, the way Schneids had a bit of a slip up when we needed to keep destiny in our hands, and the Caps so far getting that back for us, the stars are perfectly aligned for Lu to erase some of the doubt.
Should Caps prevail, I fully expect Lu to have a big game and win El Presidente for us. Then there should be no issue or unnecessary distractions come Wed...not until his first loss of course.

Cue the major collapse...if any team's capable of it, it's the Craps.

Don't look now boys and girls but one point not only secures best in the West but our second consecutive PT.

5-2 pt winners.......a glimpse of next weeks team....5 glimpses in fact....
Silence intelligence so stupid isn’t offended….
Re: GDT - Canucks vs Oilers 7PM PST HNIC
If Louie lets in a softie in the first 5 minutes, Vigneault had better give him the hook right then and there. Don't sink the team by leaving him in to screw us out of a second consecutive PT. This isn't the Stanley Cup, but when we can be only the 5th team to win the PT in back-to-back years.....well that's something to say.

I see us playing tight not unlike our last game and the Blues and Rangers last game. Plus the Oil will be loose and excited for the chance to spoil our second PT...same way Flames were.
That wouldn't surprise me. What will is we come out of the gates hungry and blow the doors open making a statement that we want it and are ready to take whatever we want.
I like surprises.

Are Kesler and Booth flippin' the Switch tonight?
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Yeah the team is crap, goalie couldn't stop a beachball, trade all these floaters, fire the coach.....Hockey Widow wrote:Don't look now boys and girls but one point not only secures best in the West but our second consecutive PT.
