Late to the party again PB , just like your hard on for Carter Ashton.

Blobcat was singing this kids praises last spring and said the Canucks should make every attempt to wheel and deal to get him. ie Hansen and Schneider + pick(Jensen)........but some disgruntled angry security guard has burried that for nobody to see.
Yeah, was irritated that the leaves scooped him up. I see he got into a fight the other night as a Leaf. Just like the old man.

I would have sold the farm for Landeskog. Rookie of the Year, IMO. RNH has dropped off the planet, not so cocky anymore.

It would be nice if he had a bit of a mean streak though, played with a bit of a nasty edge with his size and speed. He's a bit too nice.
It's all relative. He has more of an edge than the guy he replaced (Samuelsson).

Anyone else besides me pronounce 'Gragnani' as Grag-Nanny? I do. It's fucking fun. Especially if you say it in a New York or Bostonian accent. I dunno....simple humor simple minds? Lol.

Kassian does a nice job in the offensive corner, out muscling his man, to set up a scoring chance.

A rare session outside our zone.

I predict a 2-1 shutout victory for the Canucks. End to end shut down hockey.
Well, you got the shutout, but you didn't get it 2-1.

Those are really rare. :sly:

Schneider is so ready for prime time it hurts. Shame we may not see much of him this spring....or will we?

I liked Hank's game, he almost had a shot at one point in the 3rd. :D

Seriously though....I like the shut down / playoff style the Canucks can bring when they need to. Getting comfortable in these games is good practice for what's ahead.

Things will open up soon enough on the O-side....if nothing else they should play Edmonton like it's the all-star game just to get some goal celebration practice in.

AV: Ok Schneids, the boys are going to take it easy tonight because they got blasted at the Roxy last night and they're still feeling it.

Schneider: No problems coach. I got this one.

Is getting outshot 43-22 the true definition of Shut Down Hockey? More like Goalie Shut Down Hockey. Ginger saves the day, right after Luongo saved the day.
