GDT - Canucks in the Lone Star state - 5 PM PST Mar 22 -SN-P

Post by Zamboni Driver »

Well here we go!

Time to stop the slide and show 'em who's boss.
If the Stars have designs on 2nd in the West tonight is their shot. (or shot down in flames...)

Could also be a round 2 matchup, assuming that St. Louis faces either Detroit or Nashville in round 2, the Canucks could face the Hawks, Coyotes or Stars. :hmmm:

Schneider back in tonight, both goalies have played well in the last 2 games, but scoring dried up. :(

Also Daniel Sedin is OUT after the elbow last night.

What's either scary or stupid is if we win tonight we are 3 points out of #1 in the NHL.

....Cory best be good tonight methinks.

Daniel gone gives ample opportunity for a Kass Burr Hank line to work together. Zack should get as much time as "athletically" possible with that group while Daniel is out.

I'm probably just an idiot, but I think there may be a silver lining in the Daniel injury (as long as it is not overly severe a la Crosby). The twitter updates basically say he is being evaluated further and is out indefinitely.

This could be a galvanizing moment that brings the group together and provides that bit of extra focus down the stretch.

I'd like to see Kass with Hank and Burr, keep the second and third lines the same, and obviously Manny will draw back in.

Depth is one of our group's advantages over other teams. Let's see it in action. We should be able to win, even down one winger. One guy who I'd like to see with Hank is Higgins, but that third line has been playing as well as it has all season (yes even when Hodgson was there) and I'd be loathe to break it up. If we can get Hank and Burr going, we should be able to string together some wins here to close the season.

Why would they want to play hockey in chaps and spurs?

5 acre belt buckles would be a sweet touch though.....

Oh, wait a minute.....I see what you meant. The Dallas Cowboys. Oh good one Donny.

Hardy harr harr Lever... ;)

Honestly, I think our Canucks have more integrity, taste and class than to cheer for Tony Romo's team, but then again I would have said the same thing about Lever before yesterday.

Cory
Raymond on the top line with those guys and MAG with Alberts. This will be a disaster.

Is it correct a win and Cal/COl losses means the division is clinched?

Mëds your schtick is as bad as RD's on Booth! Gotta love the optimism.

FWIW, Raymond was probably the best of our forwards last night in generating offense, but don't let that interfere with your hate.

Raymond has been awful lately, but credit where it is due, he was probably our best forward yesterday. If he plays like that every night he can stay in the top-6.
