Alberts on pace for about 12 minutes tonight. Sulzer looking completely lost at times in the defensive zone. Makes very little sense to have sat Ballard IMO.

Lou made up for that grotesque fluke by bailing the boys out TWICE on shorthanded breakaways. Bieksa has been awful. All the d-men seem to be fighting the puck (along with Lu), Kesler hasn't done much and is far too casual... the team is tired and I'll be happy getting any points out of this one. Not a good game.

The Blues play hard and have the size and tenacity to play the Canucks well. They muck it up as well as anyone, keep it real simple and are out-playing the Canucks by a fair margin by effort alone.

Perhaps not a penalty on Backes but from the officials perspective you can see why the call was made. Canucks can get the 2 points that they don't really deserve.
