Some insight into GMMG judge of young talent. Put forth an offer sheet to Backes in the summer of 08 before he did anything significant. Now Backes leads the Blues in scoring. Gillis has made mistakes but overall I'm so impressed with his insight. Our best GM ever imho. Hands down.

Pretty sloppy at times for both teams. Canucks are clearly gassed. BIeksa with another weak play. Elliot looking like the Elliot of old on the BUrrows goal.

Blues run a tonne interference in the neutral zone and on the lead forechecker.
I also can't see how they ended up with PP out of the Lapiere fight and dirty hit on Malhotra.
But, you know if the Canucks can't generate a single shot in a period they deserve to lose. Gotta pick it up, and fast.
Also Edler is playing like a soft pansy in this game

Every since Salo went down, the defense has been in real disarray.
Hammer, Bieksa, Edler... not playing good at all.
We're constantly screwing up our break out and getting out muscled by the bigger St. Louis forwards.

The mistakes weren't the D men. First was Daniel's shitty pass and the second was Kesler with a blind back hand pass into the middle.
