GDT: Jan 9 - Canucks @ The Beach - 4:30PM - SNET Pac

Does anyone other than Luongo's wife and David Booth even care?

Each team will put some players on the ice tonight and some hockey will be played. I hear Clemmensen is in net. Then we'll take a quick trip across the state to play in Tampa. Many fans will pay $10-15 for tickets.

This game should be interesting just to see how the team responds after the Boston game. I think that most of us expect them to take tonight off (and we won't blame them).

But with luck, they take the game seriously and put them away early. Once again our power play should earn us the points.

How bad do the Canucks players want AV to go behind the bench at the All Star game??

Compared to the last game in Boston this game is shaping up to be something of a yawner. The "big story" being Luongo back in Florida to play in front of his in-laws. My only concern with this game is Jose Theodore. He's a goaltender with a history of being absolutely incredible or absolutely abysmal. These goalies always get me worried because it's like they save their best performance of the season for the Canucks who, as it always seems to happen, approach games against these kind of teams with a serious lack of enthusiasm and pretend like it's the all-star game. The result is usually alot of bad passes, poor shot selection, and many easy saves or missed nets.

Here's hoping they carry the energy and excitement from Saturday forward and let that win over the Bruin's fuel a 40-game locamotive.

I believe that Clemmensen will be in net tonight. Theodore is out with a knee injury.

A Malhotra-Weise scoring play set up by a hit by Duco. Who would have predicted that?

Silent G is a beast down low.

Weise shows a lot of speed and blows by Kulikov.

This period is looking pretty grim.
