The head was the principle point of contact, no question about it. But with Hodgson leaning into the middle of the ice I don't think that was a really dirty hit. Foglino maybe took advantage of a player in a vulnerable position, but it didn't look like an intentionally dirty hit.
Yep. That was absolutely pathetic. Good on Foglino for accepting the challenge, but it says something that nobody is afraid of the Canucks' supposedly toughest player.
Gillis should be paying attention. There's not a softer team in hockey than the Canucks... and it's not like we need a true heavyweight, but there's gotta be some grit. Weise, Bieksa...end.
Hope Cody is ok. It was clean IMHO though but Weise eating fist isn't really doing much to send a message.
This is perfect example of us needing a tough guy to even the after whistle bullshit out. Right now, we have no answer except to blow them out on the scoreboard.
Karlsson and Rundblad will probably be top defencemen in the league one day but today I'm glad they are not on my team. Haven't seen people turn over the puck that often in a long long time. Even Sopel in his early years looks steady in comparison.
