Anyone sick of hearing how great a rivalry Van-Chi is?

Between 1040 and Sportsnet, I've heard the same set of stats and how "these games are just bigger," all freaking day.

I also heard that it is the best rivalry in the NHL, and that its best the best rivalry in Canucks history.

The latter, I might accept, though I think Calgary might have something to say about that.

But the former? Seriously? Can we say that unequivocally? Especially if we are Matt Sekeres who knows next to NOTHING about the NHL (and the eastern conference in particular though i guess he covered the Senators for a bit). I have absolutely no feel for BOS-MTL, MTL-TOR, PIT-PHI or NYR-NYI or NYR-NJD...I haven't been in those cities or in those rinks. And my guess is that 99 out of 100 Canuck fans (and local media) are in the same boat.

Its a big game, its a good rivalry. We all know it.

Spend some time setting up the game rather than waxing poetic about the rivalry, because its "good" for talk radio.

Oh, and I'm really starting to wonder if '10/11 Kesler will ever be seen on NHL ice again. I know his conditioning and timing are off but his skill-set looks like 2008 Kesler right now.

Bieksa should just stop pinching. His offensive skills aren't good enough to warrant it so often. The number of times it results in a good scoring chance for the opposition severely outnumbers the number of times it results in a good scoring chance for us. Then again, he's back to sucking in his own zone again this season, so I guess it doesn't matter.
