I'm curious, with Burrows and Salo injured, who would you be playing? Rome is coming back from injury, and imo is better than Sulzer. Either way you can't argue when he scores. Just wondering what other options we have in the lineup at the moment.Hank wrote:AV is another dude that constantly gets mind-fucked. LaPierre got the penalty because he initiated the scrum after being warned by the ref.
Bieksa getting walked around by a Hawk...where have I seen that before? At least this time he wasn't on his stomach.

I think half of the defensemen's minuses are caused by Lu giving up shitty goals.

Hamhuis is starting to look good on the PP. Edler and Hamhuis are really moving the puck around well. Gillis figured Hamhuis had untapped offensive potential when he signed him and he might be right.

I'll agree with that.rats19 wrote:It's a wash after that stop..good for Lou
On second thought he needs to make 2 of those saves to make up for that pile of poo.

Can anyone explain why Rome is ahead of Ballard on the powerplay?? Yes, Rome scored a goal but Ballard never got a minute of powerplay time??? Did Ballard screw AV's wife or something??? I just don't understand it. Ballard might not be the best option out there but he is definitely offensively better than Rome....

So does Mayers get suspended for coming off the bench to fight?

Van PP - 5/6... I loved how the homers on WGN were saying how, if you take away the PP goals, it would be 2-1 Hawks. Thing is, they have a point. I love how the Canucks' PP can keep teams honest, but I would have rather seen it 6-2 Canucks and their PP go 2/6 with 4 even-strength goals. If Vancouver's PP ever fails them, I'm just a tad worried for their chances in a game. That said, you know your PP is in for a good night when Aaron Rome scores on the PP.
Outside of Frolik's goal, I thought Lou played a solid game. In close, he seemed to track well even when the Hawks went back to ploughing into him every time a puck went to the net. Either Vancouver's D have to seriously hurt some of those guys in the ensuing scrum (loved Rome's shots to Carcillo while he was on the ground) or the refs have to start calling the interference... yeah, I'm not holding my breath. Otherwise between Lou and the D recovering rebounds I thought it was encouraging.
Let's see which Canucks team shows up in California.
