Sulzer playing not because Alberts has sucked, he hasn't, but because the Canucks want to see what he can do. He was brought in for depth and he has to play. So far nothing good to say but nothing bad. It was only his first period as a Canuck so to early to say what he can do.

I like the line combos tonight. A lot more hustle and some good hitting.
The only HW the Canucks need

I would say there was something good. Ballard and Sulzer had a nice sequence resulting in a scoring chance. Also something bad...he was beat a couple times 1 on 1, but he recovered.

Alberts was not very good last night.

That said I do agree that they need to get Sulzer some games. He's 9th on the depth chart which means baring a trade he will have to play at some point.

Looks ok so far.

sulzer was a free agent signing I believe. Played in the Nashville organization last year.

I have no idea given the replay they showed on the Blues feed but why does it always seem like Bieksa is standing around doing nothing as someone scores a goal?

Because he usually just effed up and can't recover so he just stands around looking frustrated and angry.

Blues clogging the shit out of the neutral zone.

We need our D to start skating it out.

I'll have to see the canuck rush preceeding that goal again to see if BIeksa was going to be useful but too often he just jumps into the play with no real reason to. Actually my one biggest issue with Bieksa even when he is playing well is his pinches down low ans subsequent refusal to get back into position for far far too long.

We're quite the offensive juggernaut so far this season.

It's weird because the aggressive forecheck is still there, there's just a lack of ability to make nice passes in the opposing zone once we have control.

I guess we're still recovering/acclimating. Getting kinda sick of trying to make excuses for them, though.

I know there was precedent to expect this, but I'm still pretty surprised by Bieksa's constant tardouts. I'm sure he'll get it together.

Tant,

You seem to be full of angst, I think you should start a Bieksa rant thread, you will feel better (smile).
