Ah...game two and the Canucks are still in preseason mode. Time to get'er in gear boys. Might want to get a shot or two on net in the first 10 minutes.

Schneider looks a lot more athletic and responsive in the crease than Red Light Roberto, that's for sure.

As for the bitching about Sturm and Samuelsson? It is pointless, the heart of that line is Kesler and he'll be back soon enough. Then people (and the annoying Jason Botchford and Matt Sekeres) can stop freaking out about our second line.

When Sturm got the puck and tried to split the defense, it was kind of sad... he looked like he was skating in quicksand, and then promptly lost the puck. I felt like I was witnessing the end of a career.

The Canucks had to work hard just to clear the zone all period - no breakout passes, just chipping it out - they were totally hemmed in for most of the period. Although they got a goal, they had no good chances to score.

Hopefully that is not indicative of how they will play the whole time Kesler is out.

Its no small wonder they look a little shaky right now. But with the return of Kesler this team will be just about as good as last season. Sturm and Samuelsson will find their legs, no question.
