I'd rather a message be sent and lose this game than win it and nothing be done about that hit.

But Maclean may be right... it's probably too late at this point.
It's definitely not too late. And MacLean is almost never right.
Exactly...at least make an attempt to change the book on you before it gets out of hand. Frankly I don't know how they continue to be so patient and turn the other cheek.

Any word that ends is "est" is a compliment.

As for as I am concerned, running into the goalie is trying to instigate something. I hope the league NEVER decides to penalize a team for defending their goalie. Otherwise, it is goalie hunting season. Run the goalie, get into a fight and come out ahead.

Cody gets a lot of grief but he's outplayed the two old men on both ends of the ice and he's got the tougher position.

I totally agree, but I don't know what Russell saw other than his goalie down, Burrows on him, on the refs arm up.

Hodgson with a career high 14:30, I think - good for him to get a goal.

Higgins had a tough game - bobbled the puck on a zone clear that led to Columbus' first goal, cleared the puck over the glass for a delay of game, and fumbled a partial break that I thought he was going to turn into a breakaway. But he did get in front of the net and score.

Hey Darren, I know it's still early in the season but the above really causes me some concerns.

Pinizotto > Oreo > Horseface Weise
Raymond's back > Sturm's knees
Aaron Vigneault > Aaron Volpatti
Point Sami > Point Sammy
Puck-shooting Sammy > Puck-hogging Sammy
Fighting Burrows > Biting Burrows
Shootouts > Lui
Emergency Response to assault victims > Canuck team toughness response to assault victim

Actually he had 16 minutes in Game One.

That's what everyone keeps saying, but i could've sworn he got the puck to Ballard, who failed to get the puck out???

He was going after Nash, I figured he was trying to dish out a little payback for the Sedin hit.

Didn't work out too well, but hey this team is kinda new at payback.

Still, Ginger definitely should've had that covered. Bad goal!

Burrows was great tonight, Hodgson & Manny were better.

Wingers Sturm & Samuelsson, Volpatti & Weise crappy. Again.

Second not-so-stellar game in a row for young Tanev.

Schneids looked shaky.

Hamhuis with another great game.

Salo with another solid game.

Higgins with another solid game.

Everyone else was very meh I thought.

Good thing we were playing a crap team tonight!

I’ve been saying since June the book on Canucks is to take shots at their stars.

Henrik is not likely to keep his ironman streak going all season with this kind of abuse.

This team will get PUNISHED on Wednesday in Philly.

Volpati....
Both Lappy and Higgins have been pretty good so far. Sturm and Samuelsson need to pick up their games. As for Volpatti, can anyone explain why he is still with the team?? He could not score, make plays, nor hitting. The worst of all, he did not fight when Henrik was hit from behind... I am not sure whether AV has a leash on Weise and Volpatti or not. If that is the case, why can't the Canucks get some actually players then...???
