So nice for you all to wait for me to get back to start this thread!

I am looking forward to watching my first game of the season and witnessing the re-birth of Keith score em Ballard. It begins tonight, the defence of the PC and a return to the SCF. Ok it began the other night with a point but it begins tonight for real. The road warriors will return and all will be well again.

Schneider with the start tonight.

Looks like we'll see much more balance at the beginning of the year for the tandem.

Hopefully we can see some help from the 2nd line and the can show that they can add secondary scoring. Need a better game from Sturm and Sammy or I think we`ll see Higgins moved up sooner than later.

I've read that Schneider is getting the start.

Prospal Carter Nash
Umberger Vermette Atkinson
Calvert Pahlsson Dorsett
Brassard MacKenzie Mayorov

Tyutin Martinek
Methot Clitsome
Russell Savard

Who?

7-2 Canucks.

Years ago, I saw her in a movie while in Point Roberts on a Sunday.

Talk a about a battle of one line wonders. Canucks get the edge by virtue of their defence.

Too funny. I'll let you you do the regular season and take over in the playoffs for you.

Well, that really didn't take long. Cory has proven he can be a go to guy. I think this year Luongo will be on a shorter leash and less excuses used to defend him when he sucks. I also think that the Canucks have a huge issue to deal with int he next 2 years regarding Cory. If they are losing any faith in Luongo it is best to let Cory play and see if he is the real deal or not.

If Luongo stays the go to guy them it only helps Cory's trade value. Should be an interesting season.

I would love to see Higgins take Sturm's place on the second line.

Probably won't happen as I doubt AV sees Marco Sturm as fitting the identity of the third line, but.. that second line could use a more effective forechecking presence.

I would like to see Lappy and Manny trade spots for now as Manny seems to be really struggling with his vision and is getting too much responsibility too early.

As @VanCanucks says on twitter, Schneids is getting the start, so to all the Luongo haters, we're now guaranteed the win ;)

Schneids with the shutout. ;)

I wonder if the strategy this year is to immediately go to Cory after Lou has a stinker, or if this start was pencilled in all along...

3-0 good guys.
