The Cup is in the house.

The Canucks just have to play their game and the Bruins take some penalties with their cheap shots. Expect and goaltending battle.

GO CANUCKS GO!

No idea what to expect tonight. It's been that kind of a series.

All I know is it's 8 hours to gametime and I haven't been able to focus on anything at work today, and don't think I'll be able to. Also, I don't care.

Never mind that I have no way of influencing the outcome in any way. Never mind that I (and probably most of us) are Canucks fans by virtue of geographical happenstance. Never mind all of the irrationality of being a sports fan; dammit, I want them to win this game more than anything in a long time.

One game. Go and win it. Then, let's party.

One frikkin' game. Unreal!

I've been thinking... not much goes as planned or expected and all I hear about is that it is almost pre-determined that the bruins will win tonight. (based on the last two games there why not?) Well I have a feeling a big surprise happens once again. The Canucks this time carry their great play into the second with some actuall DEFENSE this time and the bruins start to get nervous... I'm hoping anyways! :D

I'll be heading to a pub early to grab a table, if anyone wants to join in more than welcome!

GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!

One other: If Kesler feels ok. I rewatched the game last night and he was visibly hurt at the end, he passed on a forecheck and couldn't get back to back check.. this with only a few seconds left.

I'm sure the two days have done wonders.

Does CoHo need to play a game in the finals to get his name on the Cup? If so, I hope they insert him in the lineup on the 4th line on the wing. After Tanner's epic fail, I'd take him out. I woudn't mind Bolduc/Tamby there too, but tanner has to step out.

Nope his name will be on it ( forgot to mention Canucks gotta win it :) ) he didn't pass the test as a 4th line center. Maybe stay with what we got in centers and put in Shirikov .. more scoring ?

NHL.com wrote:To have one's name engraved on the Stanley Cup certain requirements must be met. A player must have at least 41 games played with the club or one game played in the Stanley Cup Finals. However, in 1994 a stipulation was added to allow a team to petition the Commissioner for permission to have players' names put on the Cup if extenuating circumstances prevented them from being available to play.
Hodgson played 8 games in the regular season, 12 in the first three rounds, but 0 so far in the Finals. I don't think that "healthy scratch" is an extenuating circumstance.

He'll just have to wait until the repeat next season...

This series encapsulates what it's been like watching the Canucks all these years.

Hey! We're really good! Hey - we suck! Hey - we're really good! (repeat for 40 years).
