G2G6 - Canucks @ Nashville - 5pm
I wasn't expecting or wanting a game 6 in this series, but the Canucks have never taken the easy route. I'm still thinking that the Game 7's are the team's way of paying back Aquaman for the nice dressing room.
The team needs a break if they're going to move on to the Conference finals - let's end it tonight.

Amen Corny. I don't know if I can take another game 7 at this point.

Lines from morning skate: Sedins-Burrows. Oreskovich-Kesler-Raymond. Torres-Lapierre-Hansen. Glass-Hodgson-Tambellini. Hamhuis-Bieksa. Rome-Ehrhoff. Edler-Salo.
For you guys that get to watch the game in HD, look for signs of injury from the Sedins. They are either injured or just not producing. Their numbers are too bad and their play too weak to say that they're choking. Not looking for excusing, just curious.

What happened to Higgins?
Re: G2G6 - Canucks @ Nashville - 5pm
kind of hard at times to tell if its injury, sickness or just weak play Cornuck. Course some on the board will excuse them but personally I don't think AV would give them that much ice time if there is a serious problem with injury.. Now if you want to see how an injured skilled star player plays through injury I hope you saw Datsyuk keep Detroit alive last night.. He is doing the Canucks a big favor making the Sharks play an extra game or 2 ..I would like to see a bit more of that from the Sedins..Cornuck wrote:Lines from morning skate: Sedins-Burrows. Hoping Higgins just took the morning skate off.. he's been doing a great job playing on the kesler line..

Rumour is that Hank is dealing with a lower body injury, but no one is sure. The Canucks have outright said he's not hurt.
We all want them to play better. I'm just frankly tired of people putting their 'combine' +/- as a selling point to them sucking this series.
They do need to chip in, but it's hard pressed to tell two Art Ross winners to sit down and watch in the press box as rookies and pluggers take to the ice. It's bad enough they get no respect from the zebras...but their own management and coaching staff?

Well.... 67% of us called "Canucks in 6" - let's hope we're right!

This is something I've been wondering about. Not so much direct lack of respect, but just the fact the NHL tolerates way more cross-checking, holding and slashing in the playoffs than in the regular season. Every time I see one of the twins try to work their magic, I see Weber (or otherwise) cross-check them in half. Pure bullsh*t if you ask me. The NFL, NBA, CFL, MLB... none of these leagues change the referring standards in the post-season. Why does the NHL?LotusBlossom wrote: It's bad enough they get no respect from the zebras...
Anyways.. how about a goal or two from the brothers early to get us going and one later on to ice the victory. I don't imagine we'd argue too much about that.

Good 3rd period to put the Preds away. Another great game by Kesler, Higgins and Raymond. The Sedins looked better, Luongo was excellent.
They got a little closer tonight to what they'll need to do to beat SJ or Detroit. Let's hope that series goes seven.
I think I'd rather play SJ. It'd be nice to beat Niemi after last years loss.
Detroit would be tough ... even with all their injuries.

Great play by Tambellini on that breakaway (his speed was useful there !) and another great game by Kesler. Can't say enough about Kesler in this series. He put the whole team on his back and carried us into the conference finals.Cornuck wrote:Kesler again!! What a player!

Sedins were better, but they, like everyone else, was nowhere near Kesler.

I think there's only 2 players out there that you can say come CLOSE to what Kesler is doing right now and that's Datsyuk and St. Louis.dr.dork wrote:
