It's already Game 3 and we have passed the dreaded 'Game 2' curse.
Sedins-Burr, Higgins-Kes-Samuelsson, Torres-Raymond-Hansen, Glass-Lapierre-Oreskovich
Do the Canucks need to change anything?

One thing they don't have to change is winning.Cornuck wrote:Do the Canucks need to change anything?

We don't need to change a thing but I guess depth is a good thing in the post season and Mikael has playoff experience and Torres can throw his weight around...this is a long journey so we will see Cody & Glass in another time, they are hungry and learning but the vets earned it first...this is going to be a great game...

Chicago needs this one ... bad. They have to use the energy of the crowd and come out giving the Canucks what they received in Vancouver.
The Canucks just have to keep doing what they've been doing. Lou's going to have to be real good. We'll need more secondary scoring to win this one. Won't be as easy to check the Hawks big line without the last change.
Should be another good one.

Is this going to be a short series or a long one? We find out tonight. I bet we blow their doors off.
Re: GDT: R1G3 - Canucks @ Hawks - 5pm -CBC, VS
Tonights game will be the toughest of the series. Chicago's record at home is far better at home than on the road and their backs against the wall.. Unless the Hawks win this one its lights out in Chicago.. SING IT>> " The night chicago died "
This game is going to be closer and tougher than the first 2 for sure.. Glad we got Torres back in the lineup . Not sure we should take Tanner out his muscle may be needed..

ESPN Chicago report:
CHICAGO -- Coach Joel Quenneville had a simple response when asked why 6-foot-8, 258-pound forward John Scott will make his playoff debut Sunday night in Game 3 of the Chicago Blackhawks quarterfinal series against the Vancouver Canucks.
"Size," Quenneville said.

The Canucks played physical in jumping out to a 2-0 series lead, registering 92 hits combined. Scott hopes to combat that and maybe do even more damage.
"I've beat up a couple of their guys," Scott said Sunday morning after practice. "I think it's in the back of their heads, hopefully. If I can get someone to go [Sunday night] I'll be happy to be oblige."
Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa didn't seem too concerned about facing Scott.
"A guy that's 6-8 and challenges you, but can't skate ... usually you go around him," Bieksa said. "There are other 6-8 guys in the league. Why doesn't he challenge those guys to fight?"
Scott will take Bryan Bickell's place in the lineup after sitting the first two games. Bickell cut his wrist in Game 2.
"Quenneville hinted to it to me [Saturday]," Scott said. "I was jacked up as soon as he told me. I couldn't sleep [Saturday night]."
Joining Bickell in street clothes for Game 3 is forward Tomas Kopecky who left early in Game 1 after suffering a head injury. Both players were given "consideration," according to Quenneville, as was center Dave Bolland.
Bolland has been out of action since March 9 recovering from the effects of a concussion.
"I'm feeling good," Bolland said. "Now it's just about feeling good from here on out. I feel like I am ready but just need getting passed by the [doctor]."
Quenneville all but declared Bolland available for Game 4.
"Every day is more encouraging," he said. "Today there was some consideration. We're optimistic next game being able to rejoin us."

Bieksa hit on what a joke that entire thing is exactly. Good quote.

If Scott is a moron (which I suspect he may be) he'll run around trying to goon us...hopefully the boys don't "oblige" him.
If he's smart he'll model himself after Bfuglien and screen Lu as a big net presence. That would scare me more as we don't have anyone who can move him.

Quinnville's an idiot for wanting to goon it up. He's added a liability while the Canucks have added Samuelson and Torres.
I hope the team learned that reacting to their bullshit and losing composure can cost them a series.
The Hawks are sounding desperate.

This is going to be one feisty game, with two referees that are known to call it tight. We should see plenty of special teams play (advantage Canucks).
I'm guessing 3-2 Hawks in overtime. I'm usually wrong, luckily.

Agree its a desperate move.. but maybe a smart one . Quenville is not known as stupid .. Intimidation and a net presence may give Chicago an edge..
