Canucks @ Kings - Saturday Matinee - 1pm - Snet

Postby Cornuck » Fri Mar 04, 2011 6:45 pm

The start of a 5 game road trip: LA, Anaheim, Phoenix, San Jose, Calgary - not bad as far as travel goes. Maybe some time on the road will help the team regain focus.

This game will be streamed on Yahoo- they had a great feed for the Nashville game, check it out.

Lets hope with four games close together, the boys can get back their game.

Canucks get out of their scoring doldrums today, but still face decent goaltending : 4-1 Canucks, D. Sedin with 2, Henrik with 1, Hansen. Doughty for LA.

Glad something was great about the Pred's game.. the Canucks play sure wasn't :)

So we will be playing 5 teams who are all looking and fighting for a playoff spot.. Only one of them with a hope in hell of winning the conference ( Sharks ) . If the Canucks keep up their sluggish pace they will still win the division, though probably not the conference.. Not much motivation to really play much better as a team.. LA will be hungry tonight and have a good young team with good D.. only thing the Canucks got going is they are playing the back up goaltender = Bernier instead of Quick. I don't expect as bad a game as the last few games were. And maybe AV can chew some butt and get the team moving in the right direction..
LA needs the win.. the Canucks don't.. so
LA 3.. Canucks 2..

:D Very happy to be dead wrong.. they played Quick.. not Bernier.. The Canucks came out roaring.. Other than scoring on himself for the first Kings goal, Luongo had a great game. Best Canuck by a mile .. Hansen .. hits , checks, scores ! . 3rd line was the difference maker.. PK was great. PP sucked. For a change a well earned 2 points ...
sidenote.. Willie looked good playing for LA..

Interesting to watch Doughty get off his game after the 2nd goal.

Still a good two points that continues the pattern - good for the OCD fans out there, but not much else.

Another win tomorrow night would be great - 5pm start!
