IT's games like these that help me make up my mind for the "best ever" thread. Great game to watch, San Jose had as much to play for as we did and we handled them pretty good. The second period worried me at first but they kept playing strong unlike most other 2nd's this year.

Who the hell is wearing jersey #42? He's been a top player lately.. good to see, very impressive. Grabner did what I had hoped and took a very spirited advantage of the opportunity. Very unlucky to not have one goal, and almost two.

The biggest thing for me though is the team seems to have gotten over this "physcological hurdle" they've had with San Jose. A lack of confidence and letting it burden on them. I saw no fear of that team last night, now we must get over the "Chicago fear"... it's the only one left imo.

I'm still not 100% sold on Wellwood being our 3rd line center next year.

Sure we have Kesler taking the checking roles, and more ice time.

Wouldn't Hodgson do just as much as Wellwood by being played in protective minutes?

I'm not sold on Wellwood and I can't believe the team is either, but there's no one who would want that package.
