GDT: Canucks host Blues - 7pm - Snet

Post by Cornuck »

One more game before "The Trip". One more game to improve out top home record. One more game to head towards the division lead. One more game to keep this winning streak alive.

St. Louis comes in expected to get back to respectability. Despite sitting in 24th overall, the Blues are still playing .500 hockey in the West. Backes was out for 3 games, but should play tonight.

Don't take the Blues lightly. We were lucky last year in the playoffs and lucky to come back after being down 3-0.

Cornuck, I think the GDT should read "Blues" not "Sabres". We dispatched the Sabres already...

I'm a Canucks fan, I don't take any team lightly. :D

And I corrected the screw up - I should have some coffee before writing these things...

Last time Blues were in town, I did not like the outcome.

I would never take the Blues lightly, especially the last game at GM Place until after the Olympic break.

Life sucks when the Canucks lose to St. Louis and your neighbour is a Blows fan. Every game for me is a huge game and so is this one. It would be nice to hit the road for the next 14 games on a high.

GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!

Tell me about it. My friend married a lady from St Louis (They live up here now) and we have Superbowl at their house this year...Mr. Blossom (sounds so homoerotic eh?) and I don't want ot hear about us losing to the lowly Blues

Not unless Ms. Blossom isn't telling us something...

Anyway, have we had more of a pesky nuissance over the last five years than those usually lowly Blues? I would have thought obliterating them in the playoffs would have exorcized the demon, but we still seem to play down to (and well beneath) their level in games like this.

Things have been going really well, so this will probably be a flat one on the eve of the odyssey we're about to go on.

Nah, he's as straight as they come, well dressed, but very very straight.

It is what it is. I'm hoping for the best tonight though.

I don't care whether mr blossom is a switch hitter or not but this game is less exciting than speculating on the sexual orientation of the aforementioned dude.

Still liking our second line, and our D has made some booboos but is doing ok all things considered.

They'll make up for it in the third. Showing some great puck control skills... have you noticed everyonr on the team now thinks they're a Sedin?? It seems to be working too.. lol

I think they get rewarded for their efforts in the next twenty... but ya not as much emotion as you'd think (mostly from St. Louis)

We get the win... we get to the top of the division... we finish up a good home stand...

yet... I feel somewhat...disappointed.

No points from the 1st line... maybe I'm spoiled...

Not exactly a great game, but great result for us.

Almost like a great road game played, nothing flashy, we did our job and got goals when the chances shown.

If we can come out of the road trip with 16 or more points, I'd be happy, heck 14 points and I'd be happy.
