Post by Tiger » Sat Nov 14, 2009 7:17 pm

Time for a win.. hope they play a tough game against the Av's .. right now the Canucks are 50/50 .. 20 pts for 20 games.. and need a win tonight to get over the hump

Canucks 3... AV's 2.... SOB hits and takes a penalty :).. Bernier, Kesler and Sedin scoring...

I haven't posted here much lately, maybe this will turn this team around. :( \

I say 4-1 Canucks. Henrik with 2G (one will be an empty netter), Bernier with one and Salo with the other. Hejduk (why not?) for the Avs.

GO CANUCKS GO

Excellent start, 3-0 after one. Hopefully we can keep it up. Henrik and Raymond are playing like men possessed tonight.

Now THAT'S the kind of effort they have to give in order to beat anyone in the NHL.
The Avs had only lost once at home before tonights excellent showing by the Canucks.
All 4 lines played a solid game. Luongo looked spectacular at times.
Henrik looked like Markus in his prime. MayRay continued his great work.
Hansen played like he didn't miss a game this year. Pettinger was solid again too.
The D made very few mistakes. Perhaps SOB will sit out until someone gets hurt.

I'm glad we had a good game - we have to live off this for a while. The next game is on FRIDAY?? How does a condensed Olympic schedule create such gaps between games?

Avs weren't up for it tonight. Just like we weren't early this week. Can't really take too much from games like this, they just aren't indicative of much.

Excellent game .. Toucan the main thing Canucks get out of this one is the scoring from Hansen and Bernier which will give them more confidence going forward.. Of course the Av's came out flat with poor goaltending but maybe that was emphasized by the top performance of the Canucks. If the Avs weren't badly outplayed in the first period it could have been a different game

Well... I guess I know what you mean, but seriously, they were dogs from the opening puck drop that game.
Bernier which will give them more confidence going forward.
Hansen has looked good since he got back. And while it's nice to see Henrik get a hat-trick, guys padding their goal-totals (Bernier) in a rout doesn't often mean they're turning a corner.

It's best to just enjoy these games as they happen, but they still have to get down to some REAL work.
