Only good thing about 1st period... ITS OVER.. Bieksa , the main goat.. out of position.. 1 goal.. dumb penalty .. 2nd goal.. Rome maybe 2nd goat.. same thing but didn't get scored on.. Edler ... so/so.. couple times coughed the puck.. Best Dmen?? Mitchell, SOB and Erhoff. ( surprise SOB ) .. Rest of the team were just badly outplayed.. period...

3-0 down.

This sucks. going back to bed.
I wonder if they'll disallow the whole game because of the distinct ass-kicking motion the Canucks used on the Kings? - Brian CC

one and a half game so far against Calgary in Calgary, and our team plainly sucked. Until I see the results when we face them in Vancouver, I'll still pause the "Calgary is better" debate.

disappointed. long lay off also contributed to this definitely. it isn't an excuse, but the blame is on the schedule makers.

i'm too depressed to write anymore. time to bring the whiskey on.

3 things I've noticed here...

1-Bieksa & Samuelsson BLOW together on the point.....pretty weak....I'd almost rather see Mitchell & SOB out there the way those 2 "control" the man advantage.

2-I thought having 2 refs is supposed to eliminate the cheap stuff....then how on earth do neither of those chumps see Glencross dump/slew-foot Edler when he HAD the puck?!? Whats the point of having 2 refs....oh I almost forgot, to bonk heads together when trying to communicate w/ the scorekeeper/glorified secretary.

3-Ummmmmm, I forg....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Best part of the game is... is OVER ! ... I kinda felt like a Washington Generals fan against the Globetrotters. some days its painful to be a Canucks fan..Bieksa?? ... Rome??? .. Edler??? .. All svcked.. winner of the suck award?? Bieksa... though 10 others were fighting hard to be the worst including Luongo..

Ok... lets look on the bright side ( Monty Python ? anyone? )... Rypien .. good fight.. and a goal..Samuellson..good game . Bernier played decent game.. Sedin looked good.. Erhoff.. good game.. Willie and SOB .. decent on D.. Raycroft ok as back up...

Not many Canucks had a good game. Luongo wasn't stellar although most of the goals cannot be blamed on him.
Let's forget this one. Unfortunately these divisional losses are probably going to bite us in the ass by the end of the season.

He just looks so passive out there. I don't think it's a case where he doesn't care, by MY WORD (!) man...show some life other than the odd pushing and shoving scrum.

is it just me or do we look totally out matched physically.. not just tonight.. just doesn't feel like we have a guy that is goign to go out there and smoke guys..
I really miss Ohlund's unbelievable punishing hits.. too bad he wasn't ten years younger still.. which brings me to Edler.. this guy is roughly the same build and pretty much a second coming of Ohlund.. I really wish he had a mean streak he is tough to knock down when he doesn't want to...
I think that was just my biggest concern tonight was that they were run out of the building... this team really needs to step up the physicality. This team has lacked effort at the start of games, we need the lunchpails that one might assume that Alain might endorse..

Pretty embarrassed. Is this the hockey what lead us to our goal.... never. They should be lucky to even get a playoff birth.

The only one who cared was Rypien !

I honestly don't feel it has anything to do with that, although when one is losing it sort of seems that way. Simply put, they're playing DUMB hockey. Making a shitload of unconscionable mistakes every period just trying to leave your own zone means you aren't going to win too many games.
