GDT: Sharks in the Garage! 7pm CBC - NHLN(US)

Post by Cornuck »

Once again the Canucks learned that a hockey game lasts 60 minutes. It's a lesson that St Louis taught them last night. Hopefully tonight they'll put that lesson into practice as the league-leading Sharks come to town.

San Jose currently ranks 5th in both PP and PK, so once again special teams and disciplined play are a factor. Shutting down Thornton will also be important (12 pts in his last 8 games). Conditioning will also be a factor as both teams played last night.

Tonight we should see Sanford back in net. Maybe Mats will get his first shot as a Canuck.

I don't know why I'm feeling it, but eh why not, 7-5 Canucks in a sloppy but entertaining mess of a game.

The Sharks are a tough matchup, let's hope they can rebound after last night's game.

is it just me, or has all the NHL games I've watched since the World Juniors ended been really boring hockey?

Sadly I don't feel it tonight, 7-3 Sharks. Marleau with a hattrick.

As you can tell I am in an awfully cheery mood.

Hopefully the Canucks will show up tonight... With a strong game from the Sandman... and Sundin potting a goal .. Its a winnable game... so... 3 - 2 Canucks... and yeah... agree with you about this being sad sack hockey after watching the World Juniors... Those kids put in 100 % effort..

Ugh

We should've at least got a point from that game. First Wellwood comes a quarter centimetre from giving us the lead then Marleau gets a break as the puck went off his foot before he had the chance to kick at it. We're on the verge of falling out of the playoffs right now.

Being outshot 10-2 at home sure doesn't help. I hope this isn't the beginning of a long slump... :?

Two games in a row that Sundin has cost us a win with an untimely penalty. I still like him and he is rounding into form, but he has to pick up the pace and start skating instead of taking these bad penalties.

Hey c'mon. That's way to far not to say laughable, sorry.

Yesterday it was a broken stick, out of 100 times it doesn't break and today it was clearly a Sedin beaten on the boards and Sundin trying to rescue it pretty unfortunate.

No way he cost us the win, to get a win you have to lead first.
