Good to get the 2 points, LaBarbera with an outstanding game.
One thing is obviously missing right now, the execution, the killer instinct. It was a pretty close win in the end but completely unnecessary to get in that position if you have the chances to make it 3 or 4 one easily... seems it wasn't that easy.
I felt we played much better against Philly than we did tonight, but I guess it's the outcome that matters. Labarbera was solid which was nice, but I think that will prove to be the exception rather than the rule. That was a sorely needed two points though. Hopefully we'll able to beat a lowly Atlanta team and start to gain the ground we lost on the Flames.
I missed the game entirely, and was kind of surprised to hear LaBarbera was in there right away. I don't know much about him, but others seem to be in agreement that he is an upgrade on Sanford. If so, the Canucks may have gotten a band-aid at a bargain price.
