Henrik need a point to keep his streak alive! The twins are usually killers 4-on-4 so I think we'll win this in OT. If we can hold out for the last minute of regulation.

ET LE BUT!!!!!!!

Wow, fun game to watch. Many emotions here. Joy for the quick lead, frustration for the Canucks blowing the lead, fear of the Canucks losing, and excitement when they won.

I gotta say, I'm eating crow now. I never had hope for some of the young guys, but Hansen, Mason and Rypien have shut me up. I'm still not a fan of Pyatt's at this point, but he was listed as probable because of a sore foot.

Also, I really think Ohlund is under-appreciated throughout the league. He's not an elite dman, but he does a lot so well. Hope he signs an extension.

I'd also LOVE to see Gillis pick up that Helm kid somehow. I know it's doubtful, but I like what he brings.

2 points, stayed in the game, and we scored 4 goals. On the flip side, we were outshot in every period - the last 6 actually.

Should we start expecting that we will get outshot every game?

Detroit wasn't pulling any punches either.

We outworked Detroit tonight and that was the difference. They had the obvious talent advantage, but we out-hustled them and didn't coast at any point. That's what's to love about this team, they just don't give up anymore. 3-1-0 Boys!

It's only 6 shots, I'm not worried about that. I'm more worried about that debacle against Washington and the boys bounced back nicely.

Let's hope the travel doesn't kill the Canucks and they take it to Buffalo.

Bring on the Gaybres!!

How about Salo and Edler playing over 27 minutes??

And can someone help me out here. I could have sworn Gord Miller said that Salo has over 30 documented injuries during his pro career, one of them being a bite from a poisonous snake.

Raymond scores: CHECK.
Hansen scores: CHECK
'nucks win: CHECK

3 outta 4 ain't bad. [pat self on back].

Canucks played well, but they're getting lucky too. I was pretty sure if we won this it wouldn't be due to the Sedin's, and I was right there. (No offense to the Sedin's, but Detroit has the tools to shut them down).

Also like the comparison McGuire made between draper+maltby and kesler+burrows. Our "3rd" line is smokin', and I love it.

Edler was incredible. I haven't seen a defenseman at his age be so sound positionally and so poised as well. Even Erik and Jack Johnson were prone to terrible positioning, but so far Edler has been pretty much mistake-free. We had trouble getting the puck out of our zone at times, but the boards at Joe Louis are terrible, and even without Bieksa and with Nycholat they looked pretty good. This will definitely add fuel to the fire about Bieksa being traded for an extra forward.

Hordichuk has been great when he's on the ice. Shows great work along the boards and has good enough hands to keep the puck in and maybe create something.

Demitra and Pyatt continue to be our worst players. Demitra needs to shoot the puck more.

Yup, a poisonous snake - in Finland. Sounds like a coverup for something but after the game I checked and according to the internet, which we all know is always right, there is one venomous snake in Finland: "It is very dangerous only to small children, old and weak people...".
