ouch... Louie looked totally defeated...
Now they're pinned in on a power play.
Foppa should win an Oscar for that dive though....
This gamne looks done like Dinner... Stick a fork in it!

Teams in the playoff race have raised their game...the Canucks have not....can not! They don't have the playoff style horses... They need a vetran tough as nails leader that can put up points...like a Shane Doan for example.
Bieksa - Isaid it before and I'll say it again...he wasn't good before his injury. He looks lost, lazy, and constantly makes the bad decision. Yet he gets 20 plus mins. When is he hits every shift he can start to dominate like his rookie year.
adversity - D - minus

in football the idea is to wear down the defence... so you can dominate them in the second half...the canucks have had some great starts but are incapable physically of wearing down the opposition. Instead they get the tables turned on them and cannot rise above it... it's like watching a guy drown in the ocean. Painful but enevitable.

I was thinking of going to bed, but Salo's goal and Burrow's scrum with Smyth won't let me go.
Is there still a glimmer of hope ? We'll see.....
B-Mo isn't returning tonight, i wonder what kind of injury he has. Looked pretty harmless in his situation...

I don't know what was worse in the 2nd, the defence or the reffing.
Floppa crosschecks Sedin in the back, then takes up the ice and Floppas. Brunette then trips Edler during the PP and there's no call. Then Bieksa is laying in the corner on the 5th goal after he was tripped in the corner.
Regardless, no heart or ability to overcome the crappy reffing.
And is it just me or has Elder looked bad recently? He was once plus 18 and is down to only a plus 8 or 9 these days. He looked bad on the 3rd goal.
Didn't something big happen with Bertuzzi the last time Colorado was blowing Vancouver out?
