True,,,I'd be interested to see how many other teams in our DIV that have REG wins against each other...every game seems to be a 3 pointer...even though they call them 4 pointers.B. Mackin wrote:The slump continues.
Regardless of the outcome, the Canucks have not won a regulation time game on home ice since Jan. 3.

LIVE FROM THE PRESS BOX: UNLUCKY 13
That was the Canucks' 13th consecutive overtime period without a result.
That's 65 minutes of extra play -- the equivalent of another full game plus another five-minute period.
Message to Vigneault and the Vignettes: The object of overtime is to score and win.

Statistically you're right, but to give some credit to our team, they didn't quit fighting and came back amazingly... sure they made mistakes but which team doesn't ?B. Mackin wrote:The slump continues.

Ok Louie didn't win the shoot out.......that's a concern going down the stretch as the Canucks will be in tight games & more than likely in more shootouts.....
BUT the Canucks should have shut this game down & won it in regulation .....
Why didn't Shannon get more Min's?? We are starving for offense & our answer is to sit any second line scoring...WTF???

Overall a hell of an exciting last period and we can be happy to get at least a point.
Clearly it would have been better to shut this game down but the parity of the teams becomes very evident.
I fear it'll be a race 'til the last game of the season for the final playoff berth and not just a few teams involved. Right now it's just about a 6 point difference for 8 to 9 teams surrounding the 8th spot (depending also on the games played so far.)

For the most part a good effort. Not so good result.
This game reminded me of some of the games early last year before the team got comfortable with the "system" where it seemed any mistake ended up in their net, sometimes of their own skate or someone's backside.
The first goal looked to be the result of totally losing the Wild player. How could Veilleux be that unmarked ? And while Gaborik's goal was surely a goal scorers' goal, should he be allowed to go between 2 experienced D like Salo & Mitchell ?
Good to see a third period come back (twice) against a very good Minnesota team.
This should help in the grand scheme of things even tho' the Nux didn't get the 2 points.
