great goal best in SO since Maliks a few years ago.

great stack save on Kane by Luongo

maybe just maybe this can be a rallying cry for a team that was looking for a TSN turning point....sorry Sportsnet.

Was Shannon's goal that good?

awwww.... who cares? The Canucks WIN!!! :D :D :D

Nice to see them overcome a bad-bounce goal. It's nice to see effort turned into execution. I've said a lot, and not a lot good, about Naslund, but 20 goals is 20 goals and he is in the zone it seems. Still, $6 mill for 20+ goals is still a bit much.
Love the Sport. Love the Team.

Hate the League.

I've also criticized Nazzy a fair bit lately but he's been playing well since returning from the SE.

The goal tonight was nice but what I noticed about him was his checking and back checking...and his celebration after scoring the goal.
He was showing some passion tonight.

He coughed up the puck in the opposing end and made a sprawling dive in the neutral zone trying to break up the counter rush.

That's the way a captain should play.

Good on him.
He led us to the win.
Keep it up. :)

I can't help but think he is motivated to look good for a certain Swedish friend who is in the process of picking which NHL team he would like to play with.

That's why I'm so pumped to see Shannon back. Who cares if he sits on the bench all game, he's what the Canucks needs in the shootout.

So once the SNET Pacific blackout ended here in Ontario I tuned in, and one of the first things was an interview with Markus Näslund. The color was slightly off, and the Canuck jersey appeared slightly darker, roughly a navy blue. And man, it looked sooooo much better.

Good result...definitely a better result than the Avs game for a team playing the 3rd game in 4 nights.

Having said that, the Nux need a player who can provide secondary scoring on a more consistent/threatening basis.

While the Nux appeared to have control of the game after scoring early in the 2nd period, another goal would surely have put the Hawks away and relieved some pressure on Luongo.

Will the return of BMo be the fix ?

I love Linden, but I have to agree with UYK, Linden looks absolutely dreadful out there. Can hardly make a pass........what the hell?...............
I'd bench him too if I was Av. Even in the shootout, he went to the side that had absolutely no olpening.....

TREVOR!!!!!!!!.................
