I need a win badly. I got $10 on the game with some loud mouth Foghorn Leghorn type of guy who thinks he knows everything about every sport.
This guy is such a big mouth he will try to convince you that Kelly Kisio is the greatest third liner ever. BAH!
GO CANUCKS GO!!!

It will be cool just to see the Rangers jersies in the building again...if the Canucks had a marketing dept they could have had a Towel Power promotion with both the Rangers & Islanders coming to town...but who wants to make money??
I say the Canucks win 4-1
Sedin, Salo, Pyatt, Kesler.
Let the playoff drive begin!!!!!

WTF was that? It looked like Vancouver was the tired team... How do Ritchie and Raymond end up being on the points on a PP? Better turn the tables in the second, dammit.

w00t w00t!! I don't know what makes me happier? Just beating the Rangers, or winning $10 of off Foghorn Leghorn.
Big win tonight. Nice to see a shut out for Lou too.

With the exception of Luongo and perhaps Kesler and Mitchell, this team looked horrible and were outplayed for most of the night. They seemed to have little or no jump during the entire night; no offence to speak of during the first two periods and looked like they were the more tired team. Oy vey, this must be what they call "winning ugly".

It was an ugly win! Krajicek is going to give me a heart attack... Naslund was awful...putting his mates offside & turning over the puck all night.
I also agree with everyone on the PPV feed...grainy & bush league.
On the other hand, we still win. It takes a good team to play that poor & pull off the win....

Holy undeserved win, Batman!
Renney and the Rags must just be scratching their heads over how they let a game that they pretty much dominated get away from them. The score was no indication of the flow of play tonight. Only Louie and Kessler really brought their A game.
That marks the second straight home game the boys have gotten damned lucky. If they keep playing this way - a losing streak is sure to follow.
Time for AV to refocus the guys during the layoff between now and Tuesday.
Nice hit by Cook, though.

Let's Go Rangers Let's Go.... Ugly win against an ugly team.
Was it really that lopsided ? I mean there must be some "quality" if you're winning 3:0. It can't be pure luck.

Luongo was the biggest difference; Valiquette let in a really bad goal on the first one - kudos to the Rags for not throwing in the towel after that - they came out just as strong. The Sedins and Naslund looked lost for the first 57 minutes. They played a better third period, but the shot count was really indicative of the play... something like nine shots in the first two periods.
Vancouver seems to have trouble with teams that play an aggressive forecheck. This game could have
easily gone the other way with a bounce here and good save there...

That was definitely an ugly win, but a win nonetheless.
There seems to be a fair amount of bitching about the officiating coming out of New York - I have a few linked on my blog - but I thought the refs were equally brutal to both teams. (They don't always show replays of penalties at GM Place so I didn't have the benefit of a second or third look at the calls.) I was wondering what you guys thought.

There were some brutal calls for and against both teams - the phantom interference call at the blueline that went against NY (Edler caught an edge and fell on his own - he just happened to be next to Colton Orr, or so it appeared)... The missed high-stick on Valiquette that caught Kesler - I thought that should have been called - whether intentional or not, a player has to be in control of his stick - that one was no more or less unintentional than Kesler's high stick on Dubinski.

AV should bag-skate the team while they carry Bobby Lou on their shoulders.
Good to get the two points though.
