Last time I was in a Canucks’ playoff GDT, life was seeming pretty hopeless as I was drawing up plans for sniper rifles, Ghillie suits and vaccine darts.

We got through that troubled time, and now life is much more hopeful. We can get back to our normal routine of following the Canucks’ battle, until they fall out of the playoffs in the most soul-crushing manner possible. Ah, it’s good to be alive (relative to the alternative) to see this.

2-1 Canucks.
Game winner by Topper’s favourite, Hoglander, at 4:20 of triple overtime.
Put on your onesies and nightcaps for this one. It’ll be a doozy!

Does 11.6 mirror his 11.5 benchmark?

If the Canucks have any designs on a deep run they'll need peak performance Pettersson back. For whatever reason, dude goes through these craters every year where he looks absolutely terrible.

Whatever happens between those ears needs to be fixed

It's been a LONG time since we've been in the 'real' playoffs - and even longer since we won a series. Time to make some noise in the post-season!!

I gather the Preds are enjoying be looked upon as the underdog. I’m predicting a lot of fight in the Nashville Dawgs. The Nucks intensity needs to fully cocked at the drop of the puck.

Preds will look to thump the smaller Canucks. Could get into a special teams war

I think many folks (generally speaking not necessarily specific to you bullhonks) are selling the Preds short.

To start with Brunette legit appears to be one helluva coach....he had a ton of influence on Florida and their growth a couple of years back, prior to being kicked aside as second fiddle to Maurice.

New Jersey crashed and burned this year after he left as Ruffs Associate HC and now the Preds win 47 games in his first year there and really started rolling in the second half of the season once systematic unity occured.

Solid in goal, a legit #1 D, some heft and beligerence, guts and glory in Reilly, a game breaker in Forsberg...post season experience.

If I'm the Canucks I'm worried.....
