Ya know if everyone just adopts a little patience I believe ole Gaunce is going to turn into a very good bottom 6 type of player. The kids got smarts

He is a good bottom-6 player... on the Canucks. On a good team, I don't think he is even regularly on the bottom-6.

Here's the deal though. He is a 1st rounder that hasn't shown an ounce of 1st round skill. 6 years after being drafted, he's merely serviceable.

Makes me laugh... all the crying, bitching & moaning about this regime. Shitting & pissing all over the Internet. Picks like Gaunce is why this team has been "stale" as Torts so eloquently put it.

But you already know this, Dude.
Try to focus on 1 year from now...

Hey it’s tough keeping track of individual players over here on the other side of the planet, but we all been on the same page since luggage eyes left town.

I don't know whether I want to see a 1st rounder with all the skills but don't want to play defense (Goldobin) or a 1st rounder who can play defense but has a hard time scoring. Both of them are low 1st rounder and expectations should not be as high as 1st rounders like Horvat, Virtanen and Juolevi. Speaking of Virtanen, he has a good game.

My point is that people are shitting all over some of our latest picks, yet we should cut some slack to a 1st round pick who has no first round skills and has taken 6 years of development to be a fringe role player?

Don't get me wrong, any pick that can have more than a cup of coffee in the NHL is valuable but bad drafting is why we are where we are.

Edit: Of course, now he scores two in the same game! First round skillz?!

LOL, Gaunce just responded to your comment.

All four Canucks goals tonight are scored by Canucks own 1st rounders.
