Came home at the end of the 2nd, and just seen them ice the puck between fire drills on D - did I miss any thing in the 1st half of the game?

Ah. I didn't see that.

Good thing it was his nutz and not his shoulder.
Try to focus on THIS year...

Doesn't help dressing two small power play defensemen when there are no power plays.
We are all Jim Benning.

Sutter with another clear win on the draw… 10 out of 13 so far in the dot.

Larsen doesn't look great. Getting pounded last game has him hearing footsteps. Looks nervous. If Tanev is back third pairing should be Tryamkin and Stecher.

Saw the game was on tsn3 which is part of my sports package I pay for. Thought it would be a nice change of pace from John squared. NOPE blackout restrictions apply wtf.

Team cant play catch up forever and expect to win.

If tryamkin wants to be a millionaire off of 1 season just keep doin what your doin I guess. If you want an NHL career go to the minors and do your time.

Team is still boeing and can't score.

Virtanen is pretty ineffectual at pretty much everything in every game so far this season.

Stecher won't be seeing Utica any time soon. Under the circumstances, great game. 23 minutes.
Worked hard all game, very encouraging.

Quit dumping on Virtanen, he wasn't that bad considering the line he was on and that he took a poke in the knackers.

Skille was a pylon, (stationary orange cone). Not the answer for Bo & Baer.

A big ole 0 Swedish chemistry to-nite.

Special teams? A rare occurrence when they don't matter.

SEDINS 2nd LINERS

Post by SKYO » Tue Oct 25, 2016 10:45 pm

At this point I think the Sedins should be career 2nd liners, if only we could trade for a top young center somehow.

They seem more invisible without any powerplay time.

But at least the Sedins said, if any player gets more icetime than us, they have to earn/deserve it.
Henrik Sedin: "That's what we want, for guys to push us. Maybe force us to be a second line. That's the only way we can succeed as a team. No one would be happier if that happened to us."

Daniel Sedin: "If guys are going to take our ice time, they're going to have to be really good. We've been the top line for a few years. If someone wants to take [that job], they're going to have to fight for it."
http://canucksarmy.com/2016/9/17/what-t ... -end/score

I think the only way that happens is with Brock Boeser when he signs with him being paired with Granlund or Horvat or if the team makes a blockbuster trade for a top center out there, most likely the latter with getting a big deal done.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

So what happened? I honestly saw a team so out of synch that i can now understand why they might have been projected to come last.

-zero puck support. Watching a well coached team like the sens you see their speedy guys busting ass to get into position for passes on the breakout. Our guys are so fucking predictable with their breakout structure its not funny. The sens had us scouted into the ground and were waiting for our forwards where they were supposed to be for passes. The coaching had no answers for that...especially with the bench in the defensive end

-The team takes turns making one man rushes as deep as they can. What happened to short passes up the ice? Because we had no answer to the forecheck all we did was skate it out skate it out skate it out...their D looked like all stars channeling us into the corners and turning it over
.
-There is absolutely zero response when teams take runs at our players and that bullshit has been destroying the team for years now. When nobody goes to war for/with you...why would you step up for them? That was a small wimpy team that came into our rink and bitch slapped us around like red headed step children...

I'd say the clipboard is in danger of getting shit canned by christmas unless the team shows some balls and pushes back soon. That 4-0 start will look like 4-14 in no time unless something changes
nobody focks...with the jesus

Yeah, we were not prepared, (again), and the Sens obviously had a game plan for us.
Lidster seems to be trying pretty hard with the D but the forwards are in disarray.
I saw Daniel trying to direct traffic several times on and off the ice.
Post game WD sounded lost and gave the Sens credit for a good game..WTF

Thought for a sec there, Bo was going to have a fight when he got the old 2 gloves in the face.
I wish he had right there. Something like that could change everything.

Yeah, maybe Christmas at best?
