GDT: 12-Oct-15 Canucks @ Ducks 19:00 PST on SNV

Post by Meds »

Anaheim got skunked in the shark tank to start the year, they will be out for blood tonight. Hopefully this game will be as exciting as most of our games against them last season.

I'm very curious to see what our line-up will be tonight, does Virtanen draw in? For who?

Honestly I loved what we saw from Virtanen - Horvat - Baertschi in the pre-season. Sure, it was just the Oilers, but there was a chemistry there that is not present on that line with Vrbata.

I expect our defense to be over-matched tonight against a much stronger Ducks forward core. Just keep them to the outside and collapse in front to eliminate garbage goals. If we have anyone cheating out of our zone for the breakout we are screwed.

Looking forward to what should be an entertaining game.

Vrbata never backchecks in the defensive zone... and Sedins are known to cheat too ..
But I am looking forward to a good game from all 4 lines.. ( hoping they do not put Vrbata with the twins and stay with either Burrows or Sutter or even Virtanen ) ..

Virtanen probably be playing and due to size differentials, I'm guessing it's Baertschi who could sit.

Edler is set to go.

Bieksa will probably go after the new vets on our team, Prusty, Dorsett, so team should take note to maybe draw a penalty from Juice.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

Nice work Clipboard Willie. It's not like this will reek havoc on Virtanens nerves when does get in. WD is setting him up for failure. As we all know that rookies are not allowed to make mistakes. Jake will just be playing to not screw up. Why even bother, send the kid back to Calgary

Feels like the season has started now that we aren't playing Calgary or Edmonton.

Re Virtanen, no rush to get him in. If you put him in you probably pull McCann and that has a trickle down effect for the top three lines. Let McCann play and see if he sticks. As of now Virtanen still had a minimum of nine to play, he'll get them in time.

Ya but Miller is looking good no? At this rate he might be too tired to play tomorrow.

?? I hate the Flames more than anyone but they schooled the Canucks on Saturday and Vancouver was very lucky to get a point .

Desjardins is an idiot . Welcome to the Tom Watt era . Hopefully this grubby little hillbilly doesn't fuck up too many young players during his time here. I just tuned into the game . The ball game is a blow out atm. May as well have kept Kenins around to watch and sent Virtanen back to junior so he could actually play as a 19 year old . Hopefully Travis Green is still around when Iggy and the porn star are gassed .
