If Raymond pots the winner I'm gonna be sick.

At the least, Sbisa can hit.

Ouch. Bad 5 hole. Bad 5 hole.

I appreciated the way Kipreos pointed out how obvious the Sedins become by this time of year. Refreshing to hear an analyst point it out instead of sucking their dicks and raving about how they are such amazing players who will eventually get it done.

I thought his rush was more egregious. Not only did he put himself wide and out of the play, but he missed the net and basically initiated the Canucks break out with numbers. Can't miss the net there. Piss poor back-check by the Flames forwards certainly didn't help either.

Great look by Hank to be a little patient and allow Tanev to jump into the play.

Watching Tanev's success, one wonders why Corrado isn't getting a crack in place of Weber.

That was crazy, was at the pub when this happened.

Did they blow the whistle or was play already stopped.

Scary shit from such an innocent hit.

Good to win again, but honestly both teams were afraid of losing too much and so it was an ugly grind-out.

Go Canucks Goooo

PS: Thank you Flames for the pretty first goal.

PS2: They for sure had some rocks fallen off just observing the celebration after the gwg. :towel:

A few comments;

An own goal by the Flames.

Sluggish skating and passes that need to be controlled before moving continues to dog the Canucks.

An own goal by the Flames.

Were the Canuck's offside on Tanev's OT goal?

An own goal by the Flames.

Calgary really does suck and the early success was nothing but a mirage of leaves on the Bow.

An own goal by the Flames.

Odd with Hansen. if he had the wind knocked out on the hit, he wouldn't have gotten up off the ice.

An own goal by the Flames.

A scan of Bountiful has Raymond and Glencross as favoured whipping boys.

An own goal by the Flames.

Totally crazy, did you see me, herb and Zack Kassian at the pub with a massive plate of nachos and a pitcher of Granville Island Lager?

I only caught the last 35 minutes. From what I saw the Canucks looked to be the ones driving the pace.

Chances that were there but just not converting. Hiller made some good saves. Lack of net presence hurts us.

The key to shutting down the Canucks when our bottom-9 aren't going is exactly what Kypreos pointed out in the intermission. Focus on taking away the pass from below the goal to the far post. When the Sedins don't have this option it wreaks havoc with their gameplan.

On the PP it is even easier. Give the Sedins space and prevent the entry pass to the slot and the same pass from goal line to far post. When the puck goes to the blueline, pressure the point, and our defensemen will mishandle it and we either regroup in neutral ice or they dump it around the boards and we reset down low. The need for a PPQB is obvious lately.

I've noticed Vrbata has been trying a few different areas, going between high and low, but the Sedins seem to fixated on that backdoor play from down low. Hank has looked right at Vrbata through a clear lane and elected to go back to the corner with the puck.

Tanev's read in OT was special. He doesn't jump up into the play like other defensemen, but when he does it seems to pay dividends more often than not. His development has been enjoyable to watch over the last few years.

Flames have full team buy-in, when they pressured and got their first goal it was 5 guys making the effort while 2 Canucks stood still and 3 chased. Miller did well to even get a glove on the first shot through heavy traffic.

There seems to be a passenger on every line lately at times.
