As far as Kass getting hurt, anybody see how bad it was. Would not like to lose him right now. Things are going well. Did anyone here think we would be 15-6-1 at this point?

Must be a reverse time leg. They already announced this morning that Horvat was staying.

As for Kassian, looks like he took a slash to the hands. He immediately dropped his glove and left the game. No word yet as to the type or extent of the injury.

Guess who is in first in the West? Guess who is second overall n the NHL?

Not much of a game.. But definitely we deserved the win
Schneider and Miller were both good in goal.
Horvath outstanding at face offs..
Sedins mostly invisible.

Seems we got a 4 line team with no real big holes..
D holding up well without Hamhuis..
A boring game to watch but some good defensive plays..

Agree Burrows was very good tonight.... (And I'm a Burrows fan BTW)

He did make a shitty decision that could have been costly...

He played (knowingly) with a broken stick for 20 seconds starting at 12:28 of the third, on the shift right before they made it 2-0. (7:32 left if that makes it easier)
Watch him carefully, all of you who have the game taped...
I'm sure you'll agree. :wow:

Yeah, beauty hit by Sbisa. He continues to impress. He picks the right guys to lay the smack down on, last game P.Kane, today Jammy Jagr. No real point to lay the big hits on diggers like Steve Bernier. :P

"Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

And if you come, when all the flowers are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me
And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be
If you'll not fail to tell me that you love me
I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me."

Must admit, shed some tears too.

A few comments; (missed the first - caught the tribute online)
Cheesy over the top tribute to Quinn. Was anyone else offended by the overt racism of the event. When is the Gino spirit fire and drum circle at centre ice?
In Dublin's fair city
Where the girls are so pretty
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone
As she wheeled her wheelbarrow
Through streets wide and narrow...
1-0 mid way through the 3rd and fans are worried about keeping the wave going.

Good to see Steve Bernier has maintained his goal scoring skills since being shipped out. Ballard would have had those.

Sad for the Devils, Jagr is their best forward, skill and effort drop off a cliff from there.

Were the Canuck shooters going high on Corey all night?

Pack your bags, get outta town.

What a boring game, but.... a non boring W.
Benning, it appears, has done a masterful job as GM to date working with what he had.
I watched that clip that shows WD telling Bo he has made the team. There seems to be a real positive and happy vibe in that dressing room. I would think, a stark contrast to last year.
I did obtain a transcript of last years Calgary debacle.
h sedin, "Hey anyone see where the coach went?"
Higgins' " Yeah, he booked it the opposite direction at the horn over towards the calgary room"
Sestito: " Now he's really losing it. Want me to go over and see whats going on?"
Bieksa>" tommy, you stay here. I'm going to take a peak and see what the motherfucker is up to"
--1 minute later'--
Bieksa " Hey guys, the fucking idiot is over there taking on the whole calgary team!"
kassian " Lock the door and let's pump the tunes".
"raucous laughter from the canucks dressing room"
more cap space!

What a boring game. But, a hard fought victory. Nice to see some solid defending, decent goaltending and secondary scoring.

Nice little boost to Miller's numbers last night, but boy do the Devils suck. Schneider's not going to have an illustrious career playing in that dump, but hey he's only signed to play there until he is 36.

Lol @ Topper - love the irony.

That was a boring game for sure, if it wasn't for their multiple cup wins I'd be sad for your regular Devils fan... but those cups cure any kind of playing style right? Thought we played a pretty patient game all in all, which really shows our guys buying into WD's system. Last year it seemed like we pushed at the wrong time, sat back at the wrong time etc. Not as much now.
