GDT: 9/11/14 Canucks vs Ducks 6:00 pm (CITY)

Post by SKYO » Sun Nov 09, 2014 8:12 am

preview:
Season series: The Anaheim Ducks won all five games against the Vancouver Canucks last season, outscoring the Canucks 24-6. Anaheim forward Corey Perry had five goals.
It's expected the Cup semi-finals will be the Kings vs Ducks to reach the finals..

Anyways lets beat these ****** just for fun...&! make Perry's life miserable.

Add to to the fact ol' Skyo is putting up his 2-0 record GDT on the line, Sedins/Vrbata rip em a new one.

There are a couple of things happening tonight...

The Canucks are playing shorthanded without Kassian, and likely without Vrbata, Richardson, and Dorsett. That's a lot of horses to be missing.

If we are running with Defazio, Horvat, and Jesen in their stead, look out.

I've also heard that Perry (league's biggest Canuck-killer) won't be playing.

The team is 10-5 and playing above expectation. But, the team has lost a couple of clunkers to the better squads around the league. I think they might surprise a few people and win tonight, but they could also get crushed. In short, tonight is tough to call.

I tend to think the team is going to come back to earth very soon after all, the Sedins already look so tired. But, the glee with which Botchford and Gallagher write after a loss inspires me to be more hopeful.

Those two stooges write as if they are the only ones clairvoyant enough to see the team's warts whilst the fans are just under the spell of the Lord Linden...or whatever. Sure, they aren't probably a second overall team. But, they could beat Anaheim without Perry tonight and the could have won last night under some circumstances.

For the sake of SKYO's GDT record - I think we'll see a win tonight. At some point we have to the 2nd of a back to back, right?

Corey Perry is confirmed as out for tonight's game.

I wonder if Bieksa is gonna try and get Kesler to drop the gloves for lying to him last season about wanting out.

I'll be ecstatic if we can keep this one close and get a loser point. Going 3-1 on this trip would be sweet.

Are we sure Richardson is out?
Horvat & Jensen should be fine on the 3rd/4th line

Mondi you do realize that Gallagher was going to bring out the daggers after Gillis got fired? Him and Gillis are good friends and in fact Tony played a key role in getting Gillis his job with the Canucks in the beginning. Gallagher is a massive supporter of the Players Union and Players Agents. Him and Gillis became buds when Mikey was an agent. He's back to his old self prior to the Gillis regime. The guy is pure comedy.

Vrbata is out and so is Beauchemin for the Ducks.

Do we really not have a better option than Hansen to play with the Sedins on the first unit? Unreal....
