The goon scores. He should start next game!!
Nice and lucky. Nice because he followed the played and beat two Oilers to the puck, lucky because it took a funny bounce off Scrivens and went in. But ya gotta be good to be lucky and lucky to be good!!
And so I hear he now holds an NHL records quickest fight in first NHL game, 2 seconds. That is a record that may stand the test of time

Great to see Lain get one after his unfortunate start to his NHL career.

Oilers colour commentator on Smyth's penalty on Tanev:
"Sort of a slew-foot...well, not really a slew-foot. He just kinda kicked his skate out from under him." [from behind].

Look at this, a boring game and only two pages in a GDT. We need a goon showing.
Oiler stats had them out hitting us 9-3 or some dumb thing. NOT

Zach attack!!!!
Love Garret. Hanson should get a lot of credit for that goal because he recognized he was out there and the forwards were not his line mates so he changed.
Now Higgins misses on a break away and gets an elbowing penalty.

The Oilers seem to play the whole game on the outside. Very hard for them to get into good scoring positions.
They sure can't say they haven't had the benefit from the officials because these have been some very soft penalty calls.

I'm stuck watching the Oilers/Mongoloid SNet-W feed. Higgins "got the elbow up aggressively"... yeah, right. What a brutal call.Hockey Widow wrote:Zach attack!!!!

There have been some pretty weak calls both ways. It's like in a game like this with little emotion the refs feel they have to call something so all this marginal stuff gets called.
