I've never seen so many one-sided calls for altercations in my life. Stark contrast to the days when lop-sided muggings would result in 5 each. So is this the new league directive or a Divorski fetish?

Hard to not feel pessimistic when you consistently lose to the teams ahead of you in your division.

On the one hand, the Canucks have been unlucky to not have at least a few more wins against these teams. Recent LA and Anaheim games come to mind, as well as their final game against San Jose. We were also really unlucky early on when we had to play the red hot Sharks four times in the first six weeks of the season.

That being said, clearly we will be serious underdogs in any series against these three teams. Early on we looked like a fast, aggressive team. Lately we have been lacking an identity.

HW, I don't know what missing the playoffs would accomplish. This team is going to likely be a Top 10-16 team, picking from spot 15-20ish. I don't know if we could drop far enough to accomplish much in terms of moving up the draft rankings in a substantial way. The 2014 draft is apparently a weak class as well.
